THE NEED
College of the Mainland needed a marketing piece designed to attract prospective students by showcasing its college programs, campus life, values, and unique offerings. It needed to be a high-quality, printed, visually appealing booklet that provided an overview of the college experience.
MY APPROACH
Working with various stakeholders and collaborating with members of the marketing team, we developed a publication that would act as a recruitment tool for prospective students. Branding and storytelling showcased the institution’s mission, values, and culture. I enriched the content with strong design and typography, and special effects on photographic elements. Eye-catching infographics were developed to engage students utilizing Edward Tufte information design skills. Content was carefully crafted to highlight academic programs, student life, campus facilities, and admissions details.
THE RESULT
This piece was the college’s first official viewbook. It won Platinum in the worldwide 2024 MarCOM Awards and is one of three finalists in the 2024 nationwide NCMPR Paragon Awards. Winners will be announced in late March 2025.
