Elevator Design Treatment
THE NEED
College of the Mainland’s (COM) Student Center elevators lacked identification and guidance in a frequently visited space.
MY APPROACH
In evaluation of the space, the bold nature of the COM brand seemed to crave an opportunity to express itself as a modern and unmistakeable larger-than-life visual element. Realistic Photoshop comps were developed and shared with team members and executive leadership who supported the transformation.
THE RESULT This elevator design went on to receive a Gold Award in the 2022 NCMPR Medallion Marketing Awards spanning all of Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. MY ROLE
The bold visual numbering elements in College of the Mainland’s Student Center were well-received giving the space a clear identity and reference point while evoking a modern feel that aligns with the bold nature of the brand. The design has become a cohesive brand standard for all campus building elevators.
